TEV Tip: remember to flip your reed sticks regularly to ensure you get the most out of your diffuser. However, it is important to note that the more you flip, the quicker your oil evaporates.

Can I Use Essential Oils in a Reed Diffuser?

Reed Diffuser Maintenance for the Best Fragrance

Although reed diffusers are stereotypically low-maintenance, you can do a few things to maintain and prolong the life and vibrancy of the fragrance.

• Cleaning the bottle: Before refilling your diffuser with new essential oils and new rattan reeds, clean the container with mild soap and warm water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it completely.
• Rotate the reed sticks: Periodically flip the reeds to refresh the fragrance emission. Over time, the reeds can become saturated and lose efficiency, so flipping them helps to optimise scent dispersal.
• Replace the reeds: If you've noticed a decrease in the scent over time, it might be time to replace them. Reeds can become congested with dust or overly saturated and should be replaced every few months for the best fragrance diffusion.
